Undergraduate research is the rule rather than the exception. Unlike other research universities, you don’t have to wait to participate in undergraduate research, which is something that 75% of students undertake. Additionally, freshmen applicants may apply to one of Rochester’s four programmes, which guarantee admission to one of the graduate schools within the institution.

Many students choose to enrol in one of the 3-2 programmes in Business Administration, Engineering, Fifth Year in Teaching, Human Development, Physics and Astronomy (including Medical Physics), and Public Health once they arrive at Rochester in order to pursue graduate studies there.
Entry Level

Ninety percent of Rochester students receive financial assistance in the form of work study, grants, low-interest loans, and merit scholarships.

Learners
University of Rochester, intellectual pursuits can pursued in a demanding setting while allowing students to have a social life outside of the library. In other words, although Rochester students put in a lot of work, they also have plenty of free time to participate in campus life. What makes so many students choose to do this? because there are many student activities, competitive sports, excellent dining options, fantastic housing, and easy access to the downtown area of Rochester. Although off-campus accommodation is more affordable and easily accessible, most students simply prefer their on-campus experience.
Sports
University of Rochester, more than 3,400 students play intramural, club, and varsity sports. Rochester boasts 23 varsity teams in addition to a large selection of club and intramural sports. The Liberty League and the fiercely competitive and geographically diversified University Athletic Association are the two NCAA Division III conferences in which the university’s varsity teams play. Rochester’s fiercest competitors are Wash U., NYU, and Chicago.
The Goergen Athletic Centre is the focal point of college athletics. An 11,000-square-foot fitness centre, four basketball courts, four tennis courts, a 25-meter swimming pool, 200-meter track, racquetball and squash courts, and many multipurpose rooms used dance and martial arts lessons all featured in this newly rebuilt complex.
